First PhysX-Supporting Game Goes "Gold"

Ubisoft, a leading publisher of video games, has announced that its title called Ghost Reckon: Advanced Warfighter that can take advantage of the world's first physics processor from Ageia would hit the stores in early May. Ageia is expected to commercially release its PhysX product next month as well. "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for PC has now gone 'gold' and will be arriving in UK stores on the 5th of May," Ubisoft said in a statement.

Ageia, the developer of PhysX physics processing unit (PPU), lists Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter as a title that supports PPUs and provides special physics effects thanks to increased performance of physics calculations by the dedicated physics processor. Additionally, the company claims that several other titles, including Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport, CellFactor, City of Villains and Gunship Apocalypse, will be available this spring and will take advantage of the PhysX PPUs.
