Google introduces nifty shortcuts for its iOS apps and Siri

Google Maps recently got an overhauled look and a bunch of new features in celebration of the app's 15th birthday. Among other changes, it got a revamped icon, completely did away with the hamburger menu, and now displays more information under its tabs.

To continue making its apps more functional and robust, Google is working on integrating more features into its apps on Apple devices. In recent changes, "Search with Google" is a shortcut that has been added to Google iOS apps like Drive, Gmail, and YouTube. These shortcuts let you easily find data on Drive, look up content on YouTube, or send emails in Gmail.

Moreover, the tech giant has also introduced nifty Siri Suggestions that will allow more functionality. You can add a Siri Shortcut to “Search with Google”. Tapping on this suggestion will take you directly to Google search results or simply direct you to the search webpage.

While these additions aren't revolutionary per se, they might slightly ease productivity with the shortcuts. These features are available on iOS devices beginning today.
