Hitman 2 gets a starter pack, gives free access to an entire location

IO Interactive announced Hitman 2 - Starter Pack today, a new edition of the stealth title that provides complete access to one of the six locations present in the campaign. However, it is completely free of charge to claim a copy and play.

The location in question is Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand, the very first level present in the full game. As Agent 47, players will be able to complete the Nightcall campaign mission, and have access to the coastal location's challenges and unlocks. In addition to Casual, the Starter Pack also has the Professional and Master difficulty options for more daring players.

Those who move on to purchase the full game after playing the Starter Pack will also have their progress carry over to easily pick up where they left off. Note that the game already offers a trial of sorts with the free Prologue on all platforms, but that only provides access to the tutorial and training location ICA Facility.

Hitman 2 - Starter Pack is slated to release later today on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. However, it seems the Microsoft Store has already put the Xbox One version up for claiming. Meanwhile, the Steam version will be landing at 7pm CET.
