Live sneak peek of Power BI Desktop's November release to be showcased next week

Last week, Microsoft rolled out the October update for Power BI on-premises data gateway. The service also received new features in the form of contact lists, general availability for Automated Machine Learning, and a new lineage view capability. Earlier this month, the October update for Power BI Desktop was released.

Now, Microsoft has announced a new webinar series for the Power BI community, offering users an exclusive look at some of the features that may be coming to the service in the future, while simultaneously answering users' questions in regards to such changes.

The first part of this series will be called "triple A", and will be hosted by some of the Power BI team members whose names, as one would expect, begin with the letter 'A'. These include Senior Program Manager Amanda Kofsky - who posts feature summaries for the monthly desktop updates -, Technical Fellow Amir Netz, and General Manager of the Intelligence Platform Arun Ulagaratchagan.

On November 6 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET, Kofsky will be giving an early preview of some of the features coming to the Power BI Desktop release. The actual update will be arriving on an unspecified date during the November 11 week. Viewers will be able to ask questions from Kofsky, in order to learn more about the upcoming capabilities a few days before other users.

It should be noted that the event will be open to a limited audience only. You can reserve a spot by kudoing the linked post, which essentially means clicking the like icon at the bottom of the post. However, it is unclear exactly how many spots are still available. Either way, the selection process is on a first come, first served basis, so those who are interested should attempt to get registered right away.
