Microsoft has announced some new and improved features it has recently added to the OneNote for Windows app. It also says that the generative AI Copilot feature is coming in November.

According to Microsoft, the translation feature in the OneNote Windows 10 app will show an error when people try to use it sometime in November 2023. There was no reason given for this decision.
The new version of OneNote for Windows will give users a faster way to capture notes and other content via Quick Note, thanks to a new toolbar, faster access to screen clipping and more.
Microsoft has introduced some improvements to drawing capabilities in OneNote. Some of the major changes you will see is a new keyboard shortcut for drawing straight lines, and Pen & Ink improvements.
Microsoft says OneNote education customers want a consistent user interface and layout across operating systems, which is why the company is working on adding vertical tabs to OneNote for Windows.

Microsoft now offers two OneNote apps in the Microsoft Store with exactly the same name, as if the existing OneNote branding wasn't confusing enough on its own. There are also a few new features.
