Viveport Subscription will give Vive owners a new option when it comes to sampling apps

Although virtual reality devices like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive have been out for close to a year, there hasn't been a major blockbuster title yet for either platform. This could make some adopters of the technology a bit wary when it comes to purchasing apps for the device and it looks like HTC has created a solution for this problem.

Viveport Subscription is a new service that will begin rolling out starting on April 5. It will allow subscribers to download five VR apps from a pool of 50 each month. After the month is over, users will be able to select from a new batch of five, allowing them to experience the most of what Vive's platform has to offer.

When the program rolls out in a couple days, users will get the first month as a free trial, and after the month is over, can continue using the service for $6.99 each month. If you're curious about a Viveport Subscription, you can signup to be notified when it goes live down below.
