Windows 8 will be released to the general public on October 26th and with its launch, we will also see a bunch of tablets made to work especially with Microsoft's latest PC OS. Microsoft would love to see these tablets be used by businesses, especially when they run the next version of Office, which has been made with features that will work with Windows 8 and its touch screen support.
In a new video posted on the Microsoft Office YouTube channel, Microsoft's Doug Thomas gives a demo of how Windows 8 works on a Samsung Series 7 slate. After a general demo of the many features of Windows 8, the video specifically demos the next version of OneNote, the note creating software that will be included as part of Office 2013.
Thomas shows the touch screen specific features of OneNote on Windows 8 in the video, including the circular UI menu that allows users to change things like colors, font size and more in the program. Thomas also shows how OneNote can be used with a stylus to physically draw letters and have them appear as text in the program.
The final version of OneNote is scheduled to be released alongside Office 2013 in the first quarter of 2013.
