Steam Game Festival is back with over 500 demos of upcoming indie games

Steam Game Festival promo

The digital gaming trade show experience that first kicked off on Steam over a year ago has returned for another round with Valve opening the doors to its Steam Game Festival February 2021 Edition today. Much like previous iterations, it includes demos of upcoming indie titles to try out for free for a limited period, and this time, the available demos number has climbed to over 500.

Anyone with a Steam account can simply pick a game they find interesting and try out the demo while the festival is active. As usual, the demos available can be a specific slice from an upcoming game or a level designed just for demo purposes. Keep in mind that many available experiences are from pre-release builds of these indie titles, so bugs are to be expected.

The newly refreshed Steam Game Festival landing page can be found here, which can be used to browse specific genres depending on user tastes - with everything from adventure, visual novel, and RPG to VR available -, see what Steam recommends depending on previously played titles, as well as find developer showcases.

There are no playtime restrictions or anything of the sort from Valve's side, with the demos available until the event, which is slated to run through February 9, comes to a close. Soon after this event comes to a close Valve will be kicking off the 2021 Lunar New Year sale.
