Battle.net and Facebook integration announced

Blizzard Entertainment announced its online Battle.net gaming service which is supported by the StarCraft, Warcraft, and Diablo series will become integrated with Facebook. Integration will begin with StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta, testers will be able to add Facebook gamers onto their Battle.net friend lists.

Chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment Paul Sams said the new functionality would make it easier for friends to connect on Battle.net. "We're pleased to be working with Facebook to integrate their platform with Battle.net." A date for the first step for the integration was not revealed but it was stated that it would become available in the near future in the ongoing StarCraft II beta test. 

The Facebook integration will be available to all StarCraft II players at the launch of the game on July 27. Further information on the integration will be announced on a later date.
