BioWare releases new Anthem gameplay demo with roughly 20 minutes of footage

BioWare

It was during E3 2018 that BioWare gave its audience an action-packed trailer and deep dive into the story of Anthem. Now, the studio is giving those curious a better look, releasing a near 20-minute gameplay demo on its YouTube channel.

The title is drumming up quite a bit of excitement, even getting a huge chunk of time dedicated to it during EA's Play conference in June. The game marks the return of Casey Hudson, who is best known for being the director on the highly regarded Mass Effect trilogy. The world of Anthem is a dangerous place, filled with mutated creatures and a rival faction known as the Dominion.

Luckily, the latest video gives us a better look at the world and its combat with Lead Producer Ben Irving taking viewers through a tour of the game, with "traversal, combat, and teamwork on display as a team of four Freelancers complete the mission “Scars & Villainy.” Hopefully, this is enough to fulfill one's appetite for the title, as there is still quite a long wait since Anthem is set to release early next year on February 22.
