Dirty Playstation Kid Responds To Conspiracy Theories

Reid Godshaw, the Dirty PlayStation Kid™ has contacted PlayThree.net to debunk the conspiracy theories against him. He states that he is a long time Sony consumer, a genuine customer, and categorically denies being paid to attack Sony.

Reid Godshaw is the all-American kid who shot to notoriety when his PlayStation 3 broke. Sony refused to fix it claiming it was too dusty. However gamers began to get suspicious because pictures of his PS3 showed a console that wasn't just dusty, but actually covered in a thick layer of dirt. Eager gamers then discovered that the Dirty PlayStation Kid™ was a bit-part actor. Conspiracy theories suggested that his whole story was a big set-up against Sony intended to damage consumer confidence in them. Speculation then turned to who was the puppet master. Could it be a rival console maker?

NO. Godshaw has written an emotional post to PlayThree.net to share his side of the story. He says "Yes im an actor, No i definitely have never appeared on Fox News ever before. No i wasnt paid or encouraged by anyone to attack Sony." He goes on to say "First off, I emailed this to Consumerist as soon as i was told that in order to get pictures of my system i would have to subpoena them. Yes I'm an actor, No that doesn't mean i just go out and buy a new console, or just dish out 150$ to have them dust my 600$ console off. I did what i thought was necessary." Perhaps if you thought it necessary to wipe a cloth over your PS3 once in a blue moon all of this could've been avoided?!

Reid Godshaw I am glad to set the record straight, and link to your crap. Please let us know what is happening with Sony and your PlayStation 3, I want to know how this story ends. And don't be too upset by all the press, your IMDB star rating is up 6000% which means film executives will be taking note. Maybe next year we will get to see you in the Christmas PS3 ads?
