Fahrenheit goes gold

Atari has today announced that Fahrenheit, developed by Quantic Dreams, had gone gold. The game, which has been in development since 2001, was originally designed to be episodic with monthly releases furthering the engaging storyline. The road to release has been fraught with several problems that has seen the episodic concept dropped and publishing rights switching from VU Games to Atari. The evidence of countless members of the press and the huge number of consumers lucky enough to have played the demo all points in one direction: this is a game you must play to have a genuine glimpse at what the future of interactive entertainment can be."

A demo of the game can be downloaded from here for those wanting to sample the gameplay. Fahrenheit will be released on Xbox, PlayStation2, and PC on September 16th.
