Google+ is still alive, and looking for beta testers to try out new features

While Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and other major social platforms regularly hit the headlines, Google+ tends to keep rather a low profile these days. Indeed, you'd be forgiven for wondering if Google's social network was still going.

In fact, Google+ is very much alive and well, and the company is working on new additions and improvements. It's now inviting users to sign up to become Google+ Beta Testers, to try out those new features ahead of their launch.

"If you’re as passionate for Google+ as we are," Google said, "apply to become a beta tester for our product. We’re looking for people who want to test out new features, as well as discuss with our product team and fellow beta testers how to make Google+ the place to share your interests."

Google also outlined the key attributes that it's looking for in potential beta testers:

  • Active poster on Google+
  • Motivated to learn more about Google+ and contribute to product discussion
  • Eagerness to provide high level feedback on our product
