Over the past couple of months, we have heard numerous rumors about HTC's upcoming smartphone, the U11 Plus. While it is still unknown as to when it will make its debut, it appears that the handset will offer something unique when it comes to its design.

According to the ever-reliable, Evan Blass, who has an impressive track record when it comes to reporting details about devices that has yet to be announced, the upcoming HTC handset will be offered with a translucent casing option, along with a black and silver variant.

If unfamiliar, you can be forgiven, as translucent casings aren't all that common from a manufacturer and are usually offered by third-party component makers. This kind of solution becomes even rarer on a smartphone but could look pretty good, showing off the internals of the phone in a stylish a sleek manner.

Naturally, we will have to wait and found out what this will look like. While HTC is scheduled to hold an event in Taipei on November 2, it is rumored to be for another handset and not the U11 Plus.
