Neowin stuff - Announcement

Well this is quite important and answers alot of questions people have been asking so here goes.

Question: Visual Styles on Neowin have skyrocketted, can we have our own section to make Neowin the portal for themes?
Answer: Yes, we are working on creating sections to support XP visual styles, as usual, being the perfectionist I am, I will not be opening the section until we all at Neowin are satisfied with the result. This section will include capability to UPLOAD themes and publish them (we hope) in the way that wincustomize.com does, a key difference will be that we will ONLY support Windows Theming, not everything that wincustomize.com does, thus relieving anyone who thinks we want to "compete".
Question: Uploads are limited to 100k on the forums, will this change?
Answer: Yes, to an extent. By supporting uploads of Themes to a script that will (hopefully) include screens and additional information we will be squashing the 100k barrier we have had for so long. This would not be possible without the support of Vincent (one of the staff) who has donated ALOT of bandwidth and a server to Neowin, that will most likely play a key part of the Visual Styles section. Also to Hosttyme who have also donated a server especially for downloads, extending their commitment to support us "no matter what".
Question: I have Themes I wanna post NOW, where can I do this?
Answer: Send all completed themes to either (or both) neobond@neowin.net or redmak@neowin.net. We can put these on Neowin for immediate download if you do not have server space yourself. This is the best we can do until the section is up.
Question: I'm stupid and have too many questions to ask you about Windows XP and various errors I am getting in Windows, can I send you 5 mails a day to help solve my problem?
Answer: Although this sounds over the top, NO.. please do not send staff emails on problems you are having with Software/Windows in general. Use the forums, I cannot express this enough. When I have time I will go through the forums trying to help people I can't however keep answering personal email messages, have you seen the amount of people that come here? I know for a fact that by posting problems in the forums you will be helped within a day.
