OnePlus launches trade-in program for its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 6

We already know pretty much everything about the OnePlus 6 thanks to the barrage of information that’s either been leaked or been officially confirmed by the company’s executives. Everything from processor specifications to display information is known at this point. The device will debut in London on May 16 and on May 17 in India. For the Indian market though, the company will also launch a Marvel Avengers Limited Edition of the flagship, which will also be an Amazon exclusive.

Ahead of the launch, the company today launched a trade-in program, offering a way to trade-in your existing phone or tablet, including your old OnePlus phone for a discount voucher or cashback of up to £205 (€280, $277) on the OnePlus 6, till the end of May. There are also offers for the OnePlus 3 or newer devices. The discount/cashback will be applicable only for purchase from OnePlus.com.

The company’s website currently offers a way by which you can trade-in your old phone or tablet to receive a voucher, for which the steps are listed on the page. Listed manufacturers include the likes of OnePlus itself, along with Apple, Google, Samsung, Sony and Huawei. There appears to be an ‘Other’ option, but no phones were listed in there. However, the cashback program is still listed as “Coming Soon”.

Nothing in the way of pricing is known for OnePlus’ next flagship, but the pricing trend for the earlier models does suggest that the device might not be the ‘budget’ phone after all.

You can head to the OnePlus website here to sign-up for the trade-in program.
