Samsung announces its next Galaxy Unpacked event for August 11

The smartphone maker, Samsung, has announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event with the tagline Get Ready To Unfold which suggests we will see the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold2. At last years event, The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 was announced alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Tab S7 series, the Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Watch 3 so we could see updates to those products too.

In the announcement, Samsung dropped more hints about the new Galaxy Z Fold3 with the language used. It said:

“We live in a time of accelerated change – from rapid shifts in work culture to the rise of cutting-edge communication technologies. Now more than ever, there is a need for flexible, versatile mobile devices that can keep up with the fast pace of our lives so we can maximize and enjoy every moment.”

If you’re going to tune in, clear your calendar for August 11 at 10 a.m. ET (2 p.m. UTC). The event will be broadcast on Samsung.com at that time. With regards to pricing and availability, the last two generations of the Galaxy Z Fold launched in the first week of September. The Galaxy Z Fold2 launched with a hefty $1,999 price tag while the Galaxy Z Fold cost $1,980 so we could see a similar price on the Galaxy Z Fold3.

Samsung has said that it will post regular updates on its Newsroom before the event. It’s unclear how much it will reveal beforehand but expect the majority of products to be unveiled at the Unpacked event.
