Last year, Sony announced that a new God of War game was coming. This year, it was still the same story, with the firm only debuting a new trailer for the game. God of War is still a year away and will arrive sometime in 2018.
Although Sony offered up a new trailer for one of its beloved franchises, the footage was a mix of gameplay and cutscenes. If unfamiliar, the latest entry in the God of War series gives a glimpse of Kratos, as a man living in solitude, and attempting to be a parental figure to his son, Atreus.
As seen in last year's trailer, the player will experience a new kind of adventure, one that requires mentoring, along with fierce battles and questionable interactions. In the latest trailer, we get to see impressive encounters with beasts and the undead along with beautiful landscapes that are both hellish and serene.
Although we were able to see a little more in terms of footage, the game is still quite far out in terms of a release date. While Sony did not announce a release window, the trailer ends indicating that it will arrive in early 2018.
