Unboxing the OnePlus 6T, with its in-display fingerprint sensor and teardrop notch

OnePlus announced its latest flagship phone last week, the 6T. Once again, the firm undercut competitors in terms of price, making it one of the lowest-priced Snapdragon 845 handsets at $549.

Unlike some other devices that offer Snapdragon 845 performance at a low price, the OnePlus 6T offers seriously innovative features, like an in-display fingerprint sensor. Not only that, but the fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate - OnePlus says it's the fastest in-display fingerprint sensor in the world, and it's the first to be offered in the United States.

The 6.41-inch AMOLED display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a teardrop notch, but while the notch is only there to house a front-facing camera, it still supports facial recognition. The rear cameras are 16MP and 20MP with an f/1.7 aperture, and the device now supports portrait lighting features.

But one of the biggest things about the OnePlus 6T isn't a feature at all; it's that it's being sold by T-Mobile. This is the first time that a U.S. carrier has sold a device made by the Chinese company, and you can be sure that the device is optimized for T-Mobile's network. The Snapdragon 845 comes with a Snapdragon X20 modem, which means you can get 4G LTE speeds of up to 1.2Gbps.

OnePlus sent me the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The company also sent over the Bullets earbuds and the Bullets Wireless earbuds, along with a variety of cases. Check out the unboxing video below:
