You can now get State of Decay 2 for free when you buy an Xbox One X

Microsoft is developing a track record for offering digital copies of recently launched games with its Xbox One X console. Much like it did with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Sea of Thieves in the past, the company is now giving away a digital copy of the zombie-themed State of Decay 2.

The deal is only available until June 2 which is this coming Sunday, and with it, you're getting a game that may not be perfect but still has a lot to offer. State of Decay 2 was released last week and it got a review by our own Pulasthi Ariyasinghe, who gave it a good score for the deep mechanics and immersive sandbox environment, despite some serious bugs and minor AI problems.

If zombies aren't your thing, or you have a hard time shelling out $499, Microsoft has a wide variety of Xbox One S bundles including games such as the popular Rocket League, Xbox Live subscriptions, and more for prices closer to $300.

On the other hand, if you already have an Xbox console and only want the game, you can buy it here for $29.99, or get it for free if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
