Apple has announced that Apple Fitness+ will receive new episodes of Time to Walk which help encourage users to get active by doing more walking. The firm is also introducing a new Artist Spotlight series with workouts featuring music from Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Lady Gaga. There will also be new workouts with fitness expert Jeanette Jenkins.

Commenting on the new content, which is launching on June 28, Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies, said:

“With Fitness+, we’re bringing users a range of exciting new workout options to inspire them to stay active and make fitness a consistent part of their lifestyle — whether that’s going for a walk with one of the amazing Time to Walk guests or pushing through a high-energy HIIT class with Jeanette Jenkins. Music is at the heart of making workouts fun and keeping us motivated. A good playlist pushes you. That’s why our new Artist Spotlight series, where the entire playlist for a workout is fueled by a single legendary artist, will be so inviting for users to mix up their fitness routines.”

The Time to Walk episodes will be voiced by several famous people including Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Joshua, Cynthia Erivo, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Marsai Martin, Michaela Jaé “MJ” Rodriguez, Naomi Campbell, Randall Park, Dr Sanjay Gupta, and Stephen Fry. Each of the episodes is centred on each celebrity’s personal life so that the walk feels more meaningful.

Apple Fitness+ is available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the U.S. If you have recently purchased an Apple Watch Series 3 or later you can try Apple Fitness+ for free for three months and if you already have an Apple Watch you can start a one month trial. If you’ve previously used the trial, Fitness+ will set you back $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year in the United States, with similar prices in other markets.
