OnePlus has been on a roll as of late - updating its handsets to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, debuting an extremely limited OnePlus 3T colette edition, and also announcing a partnership with Denmark's wireless carrier 3 to sell the 3T through the carrier's various retail channels. But it appears that the firm might have something more to offer, as a new countdown timer has appeared on its website, indicating that something might be unveiled in less than 12 hours.
Unfortunately, there really isn't much more information in addition to the counter. It offers no clues about what might be announced and only offers a smoke trail when hovering the mouse over the counter. While there are high hopes that it could be a new device, it would seem a bit early compared to last year's June announcement of the OnePlus 3. But on the other hand, they could be advancing the release date of a new device in order to space out the timing, if a second handset is going to introduced later in the year. Luckily, we won't have to wait long to see what kind of announcement is tied to the counter.
