Amazon adds Echo Buttons to Alexa Gadgets line-up

Amazon has introduced a new Alexa Gadgets range, currently consisting of the Echo Buttons, but the company says this is set to grow. With Echo Buttons, you’ll be able to expand the capabilities of your Amazon Echo by playing additional games. The shopping giant will introduce the Echo Buttons in time for Christmas.

On the Alexa Gadgets website, Amazon writes:

“Echo Buttons, an Alexa Gadget. Deliver a new way to play games through your compatible Echo device. Each button illuminates and can be pressed to trigger a variety of game play experiences powered by Alexa. Bring back game night with a variety of Alexa Skills such as Beat the Intro from Musicplode, Dungeon Escape, and Sounds Fun with Mike Epps from Ground Controls.”

For $19.99, you’ll be able to buy a 2-pack bundle of Echo Buttons if you live in the US, UK or Germany; other locations weren’t mentioned. Other games that’ll be available on the device aside from those listed above include Trivial Pursuit from Hasbro, Buzzer Beater Basketball Trivia with Karl-Anthony Towns, Fourth Down Football Trivia with Philip Rivers, Full Count Baseball Trivia with Buster Posey from Ground Control.

It’s not clear where the Echo Buttons will be extensible in terms of the amount of uses that they’ll have, but for their low price they’re a pretty cool add-on to attach to your Amazon Echo.
