Gran Turismo 5 delayed again

Gran Turismo 5 is one of the most highly anticipated games that has faced almost as many delays as Duke Nukem Forever. On the official PlayStation blog, Sony has indicated that GT5 will be delayed once again. There is no given release date posted and Sony will only say that the game will miss the November 2 release date but they do say that the game is still on track for a release this holiday season.

The delay affects the release date in all locations and is not specific to the United States. GT5 was originally shown off at E3 in 2006 and has been in development since 2004 which means that it has been over six years since development began. The laughable amount of delays has taken its toll on faithful PS3 fans who have been waiting for this and many may haven even purchased a PS3 for this classic racing game.

GT5 has set a barrier so high for itself that the game must be absolute perfection or fans will be let down. With a development time and a budget that exceeds nearly every other game in the industry, the world is anxiously awaiting its arrival.
