Microsoft slashes 15% off select Surface Book and Pro 4 models in the UK

It's been a couple of weeks since Microsoft's last promotional deals ended on its Surface devices in the UK, but the company is once again offering big discounts for those wishing to buy its Windows 10 PCs there.

This time, the Microsoft Store is focusing its discounts on some of the most affordable models in its range, slashing 15% off their prices:

  • Surface Book: Intel Core i5 / 8GB RAM / 128GB SSD | usually £1,299 | now £1,104 (save £195)
  • Surface Pro 4: Intel Core m3 / 4GB RAM / 128GB SSD | usually £749 | now £635 (save £114)
  • Surface Pro 4: Intel Core i5 / 4GB RAM / 128GB SSD | usually £849 | now £720 (save £129)

The 15% discount on those models will remain available in the UK until January 31st. Meanwhile, Microsoft has been offering discounts on its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 in the US for several weeks, amid rumors that the company is preparing to launch new versions of both devices in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has now launched its new Surface Mouse and Surface Keyboard in the UK, priced at £44.99 and £89.99 respectively. However, there's no sign there yet of the stylish new Surface Ergonomic Keyboard that was unveiled alongside them last year, or of the new Surface Studio, Microsoft's 28-inch all-in-one desktop PC.

Some UK buyers are also awaiting the arrival of the upgraded Surface Book with Performance Base, which Microsoft launched in a handful of countries towards the end of last year. It's planning to launch those more powerful versions of the Surface Book in the UK and seven other markets sometime this quarter.
