Microsoft to Make More Games Compatible, But For How Long?

The team behind updating original Xbox games so that they can be played on the 360 system is set to make available a new set of games. In a post on the Gamerscoreblog website which is run by Microsoft employees it states that the team hope to have at least a dozen more games available in the near future.

This update will come in light of Peter Moore's recent comments that "nobody is concerned" about the feature anymore, going on to say "nobody is concerned anymore about backwards compatibility," arguing that the firm had "under promised and over delivered" on that aspect of the Xbox 360. This contradicted Microsofts early promise of complete backwards compatibility, and led to widespread rumours of how many more titles would be made available on the 360.

Gamerscoreblog seemed to agree with Moore posting "Long before the launch, we thought we might hit a few dozen titles, and we all feel pretty good about the list of well over 200 titles on the back compat list today, including many of the games that you've asked for. You all have heard us say the work isn't simple." So, now it seems no one has a clue how many games will be updated to 360 glory, which is a shame as Sony seemed gleefully pleased when they announced full backwards compatibility with all playstation titles last month at E3.
