Microsoft updates Surface app on Windows 11 and Windows 10

Surface App

Microsoft's Surface app is now getting an update on Windows 11 and Windows 10. The update introduces no new features, unfortunately. But talking about what's there in the update, Surface users get an improved fast charging experience and quality and stability improvements. And that's pretty much all that you get in it.

If you're not sure if you've already updated to the latest version of the app, then check whether your Surface app carries app version 61.4068.139.0. If the answer is yes, the Surface has been updated. But if not, you can go to the Microsoft Store to check for updates.

The official changelog of the latest Surface app update read as follows:

  • Improved experience for Smart Charging
  • Quality and stability improvements

Microsoft's Surface app comes pre-installed with all Surface desktops and laptops and contains useful information about your Surface device, including warranty and more. If you own a Surface and haven't used the app yet, you should check it out to get quick access to some critical information about your device. You can open the Microsoft Store directly from here to update the app.
