Microsoft will announce 'all-new Xbox hardware' at gamescom

Today, Microsoft announced that it will be at gamescom in Cologne, to no one's surprise. In the announcement though, the company said that it will be launching "all-new Xbox hardware and accessories" on Insider Xbox on August 21 at 7:30am PT.

In the Xbox Wire announcement, the company actually confirmed that there will be new console bundles, which isn't really a surprise. One thing that the firm could do is actually release some custom Xbox One X devices, as it's done numerous times for the One S.

But what we're also likely to see is a new Elite Controller, which is long overdue. According to leaks, the new controller will finally sport a USB Type-C port, replacing the old micro-USB port, and it will include Bluetooth connectivity. That means that you won't need an Xbox Wireless Adapter or a cable to use it with your PC.

The new case will act as a charger, so it will power up as soon as you put it away. You can also expect three-level hair trigger locks, three profile switch options, and longer key travel for the paddles.

Make sure to check back on August 21 to see what Microsoft announces for its Xbox family.
