Moore's Law noised up

MOORE'S LAW COULD SOON BE NO MORE. Yeah. Its been said before and now someone else is saying it again.

Boffin Laszlo Kish at Texas A&M University reckons there's too much thermal noise in small chips for the density of transistors to continually increase at the rate at which it has been seen to in recent years.

Kish says thermal noise is likely to set a physical limit on the amount of transistors that can be crammed into a physical space.
