Rumors are that Google will be announcing Android N at Google I/O in May. Now, Android Police is giving us our first look at what the new Settings app will look like, and it looks different.
These are early renders. If Google sticks to the timeframe that they used last year with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, they'll announce it at I/O, run a developer preview for three months, and then release it to the public. That's plenty of time for plenty of things to change.
The screenshot on the far left is provided as a reference, as it shows Settings how it appears today in Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The other two are what it will likely look like in Android N.
As we can see, there is a banner at the top showing Do Not Disturb status with what appears to be a dropdown menu. Also, users will now be able to see the status of settings without actually entering them. For example, a user will be able to see that 20.46 MB of data was used without tapping on Data Usage.
Once the user is at least a level deep into Settings, a hamburger menu will appear.
Of course, none of this is official until Google makes the official announcement. As of right now, this is certainly something for Android fans to think about until then.
