Some Pixel 2s and Pixel 2 XLs are suffering audio issues when recording video

Google is certainly feeling the heat when it comes to its latest release of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. While it has only been a week since its official retail debut, there have been a number of issues that have cropped up in regards to both models. Now, it looks like something new has been reported, which could turn off users from making a purchase.

Apparently, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL suffer from an issue when recording audio, where they can start out sounding normal and quickly become distorted, sounding instead like the wailing of banshees or like the alien autopsy scene in Independence Day. This doesn't seem to be an isolated incident and there are several examples of the phenomenon occurring in videos that have been posted to the internet.

Luckily, there is a post in the Pixel support forum, so hopefully, Google is keeping an eye out and will issue a fix in the near future. Again, this isn't a universal problem with all Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices, and appears to be only affecting certain units when recording certain kinds of sounds. Regardless, at this moment in time, it is yet another problem with the handsets that has cropped up, which could ultimately change a consumer's mind when it comes to a purchase.
