In the last few years, Lenovo has focused heavily on the smartphone market by releasing well-built phones with fairly sought after features. A recent example of this was the Lenovo S860 which featured a giant 4000 mAh battery and an aluminum casing.
However, now they've joined the likes of LG and Vivo by using a Quad-HD (1440p) display in their latest smartphone-- the Lenovo Vibe Z2. Other features include:
- Snapdragon 801 chipset (clocked at 2.5ghz)
- 16mp OIS camera
- NFC
And all of that is packed into an extremely slim alloy body that is 7.7mm at it's thickest point, and within that 7.7mm body they've managed to fit in a giant 4000 mAh battery. No specific mention of the OS has been made, but given that it carries a Snapdragon chipset (as well as Lenovo's historical track record), we can safely assume it will have the latest version of Android. If not, then it would certainly be Cyanogenmod compatible.
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 hasn't officially launched yet, but based on the leak, it appears that the launch is not too far away. Based on the Snapdragon chipset, as well as reports of Lenovo wanting to penetrate the US market from last year, there is a good indication that this phone may in fact be offered in the US/EU.
