It's been just over a year since Pokémon GO took the world by storm, and the world promptly forgot about it. But the idea of an augmented reality-style game that takes place in the real world and is based on GPS isn't gone, and that's why Next Games announced The Walking Dead: Our World.
It's like Pokémon GO, but you'll finally be able to live out your dreams of fighting walkers with your smartphone. You can see from the trailer above that there's little, if any, actual gameplay involved, which isn't exactly surprising given the nature of the game. There's also no release date for it yet, so there might not even be any gameplay footage that exists.
You do get to catch a glimpse of some fan-favorites from The Walking Dead TV show, such as Rick, Daryl, and Michonne, implying that they'll be involved with the game as well. Obviously, we'll find out more as time progresses, and you can check out the game's website here.
The Walking Dead: Our World will be coming to iOS and Android when it's available.
