THQ won't build a big booth for E3 2012

You won't see this from THQ at E3 2012

In the past, THQ usually had one of the biggest and flashiest exhibits at E3. At E3 2011, the company not only spend money on booth space but also rented the parking lot across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center where it had ladies in bikinis giving out free car washes.

That won't be the case this year. Gamesindustry International has confirmed with THQ that it won't have a big exhibit on the convention floor at E3 2012 next month. It stated:

We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we'll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities). When we needed to make the decision on the booth (many months ago) we were in a MUCH different place than today. But, we will be there to support our portfolio and the show itself.

It's no secret that THQ's financial situation is not as it should be, thanks to a number of games not performing as expected in 2011. The company still has what looks like a solid lineup of games planned for 2012 and 2013, including Darksiders 2, Company of Heroes 2, the just announced Saints Row The Third - Enter the Dominatrix, inSANE, Homefront 2, the untitled shooter from Left 4 Dead developers Turtle Rock Studios and more.
