Glow 1.84

Glow

Glow provides detailed reporting on every hardware component in your computer, saving you valuable time typically spent searching for CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other stats. With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system.

Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes.

No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions.

What's new in Glow 1.84:

  • Glow's language folder has been renamed. Now the language files are kept in the g_langs folder instead of the langs folder. This was due to conflicts caused by all software developed by me using the same folder name.
  • Glow's interface now resizes itself for higher DPI levels. This means that the interface overlays are fully responsive to Glow's size.
  • Glow now offers a seamless experience when resizing up to 200% DPI.
  • Glow's graphics engine has been updated. It now delivers Ultra HD text and visual quality up to 16K resolution displays.
  • Glow's interface has been accelerated. All interface sections now run at high performance.
  • The BIOS Mode feature in the Motherboard section has been reprogrammed. It now shows 99% correct results.
  • The Installed Driver/Service Count design in the Installed Drivers and Installed Services section has been revamped. It now prints underneath instead of side by side. In this way, it has gained a modern look.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed minor DPI bugs in Windows 10 versions 21H2 and 22H2.
  • Fixed a bug where the header sometimes flickered on Windows 11 systems.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Glow to send the wrong query to Windows during Double Buffering.
  • Fixed a bug where some interface sections would not fit on the screen at different DPI levels.
  • The error that caused the Slot names of the RAM section in the information exported with the Export Information feature to print incorrectly has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the storage partition to leak memory when reading disk information.
  • Fixed a bug where the primary value was lost at different DPI and resolution values of the battery compartment's container.
  • Fixed a bug where the height of the button to clear the search box in Installed Drivers / Installed Services did not change at different DPI levels.
  • The sizing error that caused the table in the Installed Drivers / Installed Services section to not fit on the screen at high DPI levels has been fixed.
  • Nearly 20 minor bugs and interface fixes were made.

Changes

  • Glow no longer needs kernel32.dll to read BIOS Mode. Of course it still uses kernel32.dll for other operations.

  • Glow's page logo in the top menu has been reduced in size.

  • Glow's interface has been centered with the top menu and left menu, resulting in a smoother interface design.

  • Turkish and English language files have been edited.

Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error.
