The Predator is coming to the Bolivian forests of Ghost Recon Wildlands

The Ubisoft developed tactical co-op game, Ghost Recon Wildlands, is mostly about taking down a Bolivian drug cartel, but the company announced a rather surprising crossover event today. Perhaps the most well-known trophy-hunting alien, the Predator, is coming to the game tomorrow, equipped with its deadly arsenal from the movie franchise.

Players will be able to challenge the Predator solo or in co-op with up to four players, and those who defeat the alien in this free game mode will receive some special items. One of these rewards will be the iconic mask of the Predator, which, when equipped, gives Predator vision to the user.

Regarding the Predator's arrival to the game, Ubisoft senior producer Nouredine Abboud had this to say in the announcement:

"At Ubisoft Paris, we have been fans of the Predator for a long time and are thrilled to bring such an iconic character to our game. The challenge is full of references to the original Predator movie, and we cannot wait to see the reaction of our players!"

Aside from the special free game mode, Wildlands will also receive the Predator Pack DLC that comes with weapons and gear, such as the Predator's wrist blades, straight from the original movie. Meanwhile, the game's new Ghost War PVP mode is also getting some Predator action with the addition of a new Soldier class that is inspired by the original movie's Dutch, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Sadly, the crossover game mode will be a limited time event, with the Predator leaving Bolivia sometime in early January, but Ubisoft has not disclosed an exact date yet. More information on how did the Predator come to be in Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on UbiBlog.
