Samsung is launching a 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 back in September, and, as most tablets do, it came in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Now, confirming earlier reports, Samsung has officially introduced (via Android Central) the Galaxy Tab S6 5G in South Korea, making it the world's first tablet with 5G support.

Aside from adding a 5G modem, Samsung left the specs of the Galaxy Tab S6 pretty unchanged. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage plus microSD card support, and a 7,040mAh battery. It comes with an S Pen that can charge wirelessly when docked on the back of the tablet, and it can also perform air gestures thanks to a gyroscope and a Bluetooth connection.

The screen is 10.5 inches and it has QHD+ (2560x1600) resolution in the 16:10 aspect ratio, flanked by four stereo speakers tuned by AKG. It has a dual-camera system, which is still fairly rare for a tablet, with a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera is 8MP.

For now, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G has only been announced for South Korea, and it remains to be seen if it will come to other regions. In Korea, it will go on sale tomorrow and cost 999,900 won, which is roughly $847.22. Samsung is offering some bonuses for those who buy it before March 31, including a discounted price on a pair of Galaxy Buds or a 32-inch curved monitor.
