Chernobylite announced for current and next-gen consoles

The sci-fi survival horror title Chernobylite saw the light of day in early 2019 when it was first announced. After launching a Kickstarter campaign to attain development funds, developer The Farm 51 showed off a demo of the title at Gamescom. Eventually, the PC game made its way to Early Access on Steam and GOG.

Today further updates about the science fiction horror game were shared by the game's maker. Chernobylite has been announced for current and next-consoles in addition to the PC platform. The console version will be published by Polish video game publisher All In! Games - best known for its other upcoming next-gen title Ghostrunner.

Piotr Żygadło, CEO of All in! Games, commented on its collaboration with The Farm 51 to publish the console edition:

"We’re thrilled that just a week after the successful premiere of Ghostrunner we can announce other important news. We believe that Chernobylite will be just as popular as our cyberpunk title and will meet the expectations of players all around the world. Usually we don’t engage in projects without ownership of the IP, but the quality of The Farm 51’s production and its potential convinced us to make an exception"

The upcoming next-gen survival horror game is slated to make a full launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2021. For now, PC gamers can purchase the game in Early Access through Steam or GOG. Although the usual price is $11.99, Steam users can currently take advantage of the ongoing Halloween sale and purchase Chernobylite for $8.39.
