Google sends out invitations for its Pixel 3 launch on October 9

It's that time of the year again, when companies announce their fall flagship smartphones. Samsung announced the Galaxy Note9 last month, Apple will announce a trio of new iPhones next week, and today, Google began sending out invitations for its next hardware launch on October 9.

At the event, the firm is expected to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL handsets, which have been thoroughly leaked. The Pixel 3 XL is rather notable between the two, as it's been criticized for having such a large notch in the display.

Also on the list of possibilities is a new PixelBook. According to rumors, it could include a 4K display, 8GB RAM, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. And of course, it will maintain its convertible form factor.

Both Pixel phones will likely include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset, along with various other flagship specs. Google also probably has some new camera tricks up its sleeve.

Whatever happens, we'll be paying attention, so make sure to check back on October 9 for more.
