HostControl allows you to contol your localhost. This means, you can control your webserver and database server. You can start and stop them from your system tray. Also, there is a prefix window, that allows you to access your localhost files faster. Just click on the system tray icon, and enter the url.
HostControl is designed for the Webdeveloper that uses his/her localhost from time to time. HostControl can make it easier for you to access your localhost. It doesn't offer superb technologies (it's based on simple execute procedures), but it only intends to make it easier for you.
