Microsoft to Offer Corporate Desktop Search Solution

Microsoft announced today that beginning later this year the company will be offering a corporate desktop search solution aimed at large enterprises.

The corporate version of Windows Desktop Search is in response to customer feedback and will allow customers to search at the same level of speed and efficiency as the current Windows Desktop Search.

The beta of the corporate offering will be available by the end of the calendar year and is rumoured to be the current replacement for WinFS until Microsoft make this available in 2007.
