More app icons for Windows 10 finally show more than blue

Microsoft has been working to unify the design language for many of its apps and services, and though we've only officially seen those design elements come to Office apps, Windows 10 apps are also set to get new icons. Previously, icons for the Mail, Calendar, Snip & Sketch, and Camera apps were found, but more have surfaced over the past few days.

As before, the icons were discovered by Aggiornamenti Lumia, who shared them on Twitter. There are new icons for Movies & TV, Groove Music, Weather, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, and even the File Explorer - which has already seen its app icon changed a couple of times during Windows 10's development.

The new icons still feature some of the blue tones, which we keep seeing in many of Microsoft's icons, but they also have some more color including color gradients for some of the apps. Regardless, the new look is more lively than the plain white icons that are currently in use.

While these icons have been leaking for some time now, it remains to be seen when Microsoft will begin using them in builds users can try. It's expected that they'll be used alongside the new Start menu which was spotted in the leaked build 18947.
