The OnePlus 5T, when launched in November of 2017, was available for purchase in its Midnight Black guise for $499. The company then added the limited edition Sandstone White color option for purchase in January of 2018. However, OnePlus spiced up its offerings in certain other markets, such as India, by offering a Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T, which was exclusively sold through Amazon India. In China, the phone debuted with a Lava Red color option in addition to the standard Midnight Black variant, which is also being offered in India starting January of this year.
However, after hinting on its Twitter account yesterday, the company today revealed via Twitter that the limited edition Lava Red version of the OnePlus 5T is making its way to more markets. The company is calling this variant of the phone a perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
Sales of the OnePlus 5T Lava Red limited edition will commence on the February 6 at 10 a.m. ET. As for pricing, the phone will be sold for the same price as that of the existing models with the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, coming in at $559/€559/£499. Interestingly, the phone still retains its black bezels on the front. The rest of the specifications are identical to that of the standard variant. OnePlus is also offering free priority shipping for customers who place an order before February 9.
