Samsung Electronics has added its new Galaxy Tab A8 to its Tab A Series that brings an immersive viewing experience for its users. The latest addition features an expanded 10.5-inch screen, a 16:10 common aspect ratio, and a quad-speaker with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.

Vice President of Global Brand Marketing Group, MX (Mobile eXperience) Business, Matthew Leem stated:

In a world where remote working and learning has become the norm, tablets have become an indispensable device for so many. They’re the perfect tool for getting more out of our online activities both at home and on the go. We know people are increasingly turning to tablets for video calls, online classrooms, gaming and streaming, so we equipped the Galaxy Tab A8 with brilliant new features to help you connect on a new level.

The new device comes with a CPU and GPU that have each been increased by 10% for improved performance. Users can now also choose from 128GB, 64GB, or 32GB of internal storage, along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM depending on their requirements, and expand their storage up to 1TB with the expandable microSD card feature. The Galaxy Tab A8 also includes a 7.040mAh battery and supports 15W adaptive fast-charging.

Samsung's collaboration with global content partners and the capability to personalize the home screen with different color schemes and icons allows kids to have a personalized tablet experience. With this device, users also get parental controls for a safe learning experience for their kids. It also enables users to multitask by splitting their screens and using two apps simultaneously, along with offering the capability to incorporate a pop-up window with Multi-Active Window. To open a second browser window, users can employ the Drag and Split feature as well.

The Galaxy Tab A8 comes with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and a new Screen Recorder feature for an enhanced user experience. Along with the Face Recognition feature, this device is also supported by Samsung's Knox security platform with multi-layer protection, and real-time protection of the core software prevents outside threats from gaining access to the device.

In Europe, the Galaxy Tab A8 will be available in Pink Gold, Silver, and Gray by the end of December, and will be available in other regions in January 2022. For more information, head over to the dedicated webpage here.
