Sony is looking to bring more PlayStation exclusives to PC

It seems like Sony is not finished with bringing more of its first-party PlayStation exclusives to PC, as in its 2020 corporate report, the company has stated that it is open to expanding its portfolio on the platform.

"We will explore expanding our first-party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability," stated the report.

Horizon Zero Dawn, the 2017-released open-world title developed by Guerrilla Games, shed its PlayStation 4 exclusivity and hopped over to PC earlier this month. Considering a sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, that would be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 was announced shortly before the PC launch, it is possible Sony is planning to port over more of its first-party PlayStation Studios experiences when they are close to getting a new entry, possibly enticing PC customers to grab a PlayStation 5 to continue the adventure.

Although PlayStation exclusives like Death Stranding and Quantic Dream titles have also been slowly coming to PC, keep in mind that these are third-party titles and aren't connected to Sony's plans.
Microsoft, Sony's rival in the console space, has been on a PC release spree for a while now, though unlike Sony, all of its first-party titles, both current and next-gen, are coming to Windows on day one.

Elsewhere in the report, Sony also states it will "invest in, or acquire, firms with abundant creativity and cutting-edge technologies to build up Worldwide Studios (WWS)". It sounds like more studio acquisition or exclusivity deal announcements by the company are on the horizon as PlayStation 5's launch inches closer.
