It's Friday, and its time to take off your shoes, kick up your heels and do some online shopping for the best download PC game sales. This week, we have got a way to get you a free Rockstar PC game for the low price of nothing.
Rockstar's Steam community page has announced that from now until May 15th, Steam users who join the Rockstar Steam community group will be rewarded with a free copy of the racing game Midnight Club 2. There are a few minor catches to this deal. One is that you have to have at least Steam purchase, gift or retail registration already in your Steam account. Another is that if you already own Midnight Club 2 on Steam, you can't get another free code. Finally, the code you do receive can't be gifted to anyone else.
Steam also has some nice PC game sales this weekend. One is for Tropico 4, the latest game in the island dictator sim series. The main game is on sale for $13.59 this weekend, a 66 percent price cut. You can also get the strategy guide for Tropico 4 for 66 percent off, along with its three DLC packs. The recent expansion pack for the game, Modern Times, is 25 percent off this weekend.
Oh, and did we mention you can play the full version of Tropico 4 for free on Steam from now until 4 pm ET on Sunday? Well, we just did.
Steam also has put Portal 2 on sale for just $6.79 this weekend. The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is on sale on Steam for $40.19, a 33 percent price cut. Finally, you can get all of the games in the Company of Heroes franchise for a whopping 80 percent off this weekend on Steam.
GameStop has a number of games on sale this weekend, including the recent Gotham City Imposters for just $7.49, the Magicka Collection for a mere $4.99 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution for just $9.99.
