Gboard for iPhone gets updated with 'Doodles', voice typing, and 15 additional languages

The default keyboard for Apple's iPhone is often considered one of the best input solutions across all smartphone platforms. Be that as it may, this hasn't stopped others from delivering their own solutions. Google's Gboard is a more recent addition to the Apple ecosystem making its debut last year. While it has featured fairly unique attributes, Google is now expanding the capabilities with 'Doodles', voice typing, and an additional 15 languages.

If unfamiliar, Doodles are commemorative pieces of art that often take the standard Google logo and adapted with a specific theme. You'll also be able to take advantage of voice typing, and 15 new languages that include: Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Catalan, Hungarian, Malay, Russian, Latin American Spanish, and Turkish.

It wasn't until fairly recently that Apple allowed outside developers to create keyboard apps for its devices. While the usual players like Swype and Swiftkey were fairly quick to the party, others, like Microsoft, took their time to offer something a bit more unique. The latest Gboard can be downloaded from the App Store.
