Microsoft is offering a 10.1-inch Full HD Windows 10 tablet with stylus and sleeve for $99

At the start of the year, the Microsoft Store was selling the NuVision Solo 10 Draw for $249 in the United States. In April, it slashed 40% off the cost of the Windows 10 tablet, reducing its price to $149, including a 'digital pen' and a sleeve.

Now, Microsoft has cut another third off that price, which means you can now get the 10.1-inch device with the stylus and sleeve for just $99. Buyers can choose from the tablet in three colors: blue, pink, or silver.

Key specs of the NuVision Solo 10 Draw (model number TM101W610LBL) include:

  • 10.1-inch IPS LCD with Full HD (1920x1200px) resolution and 10-finger multi-touch
  • Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB eMMC storage (plus microSD card slot)
  • 2MP front-facing webcam
  • 5MP rear camera
  • 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi with Miracast support
  • microUSB 2.0 port
  • microHDMI port
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 260 x 159 x 8.4mm; 520g

The device does have some downsides though. You'll get eMMC storage, rather than the superior SSD; and based on our experience with ultra-low-cost Windows tablets, the manufacturer's stated battery life of "up to 6 hours" is likely to be far lower in real-world usage.

There's no indication of when Microsoft will stop offering this latest discount, so if you're thinking of grabbing the tablet at its current price, it may be best not to wait too long.
