Many of you will have seen the supposed 'leaked' trailer for something that looked like a Dead Rising sequel lately. If you haven't, you can check it out right here.
Well, as Kotaku reports, this trailer is indeed a reality, as Capcom has just announced Dead Rising 2. Capcom has said that Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to, "[a] new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies."
As for the story, it seems that the game is set a few years after the events of Dead Rising 1, and will show that the virus causing the dead to reanimate was not contained, and spread throughout the United States. The game is meant to be set in a Las-Vegas-esque city, aptly named Fortune City. Dead Rising 2 will be developed by Blue Castle Games and a bunch of people from the original game.
And after all that, is has also been noted that Dead Rising is going properly multi-platform; Playstation 3 owners can now get a taste of the brutal, gory excitement. Capcom promised more details shortly, so stay tuned!
