HAL Laboratory's BYE-BYE BOXBOY! is now available for the Nintendo 3DS

During its Nintendo Direct broadcast, the firm announced quite an assortment of exciting titles that will arrive for the Switch and 3DS. But perhaps one that might slip through the cracks would be the puzzle platformer, BYE-BYE BOXBOY! The game is made by the folks at HAL Laboratory, who are best known for their work on Kirby titles.

BYE-BYE BOXBOY! will be the third entry in the BOXBOY! series and will have players take control of Qbby. Qbby is.. well... a box.. but can be imbued with special powers that will allow it to warp, blow up obstacles, soar to new heights with rockets, and more. There is also the added challenge of having to rescue adorable smaller boxes known as Qbabies.

Since this is a HAL Laboratory creation, players will be able to utilize any Kirby amiibo to unlock various costumes for Qbby. BYE-BYE BOXBOY! is now available on Nintendo 3DS, along with the previous entries in the series: BOXBOY! and BOXBOXBOY! If you're not quite sold by watching the video, you can always download a demo that will allow you to try out all three games on Nintendo's eShop.
